About Veloship

Moving the world’s goods, one shipment at a time.

Veloship was founded on a simple conviction: that global trade should be as effortless as sending a message. We exist to erase the friction, paperwork, and blind spots that have defined cross-border logistics for a century.

Our story

Veloship began in 2014 as a small freight-forwarding desk in Dubai, born out of frustration with an industry that treated transparency as a luxury. Our founders — veterans of ocean freight, customs brokerage, and enterprise software — watched businesses of every size lose sleep over shipments they could not see, invoices they could not predict, and carriers they could not hold accountable. They asked a question that would define the company: what if logistics worked like the modern internet — instant, trackable, and borderless?

The first version of Veloship was a single tracking API stitched across three regional carriers. Within eighteen months, that API was moving parcels for 400 small exporters across the Gulf. By 2018 we had opened hubs in Rotterdam, Singapore, and Los Angeles, and our express network had crossed the one-million-shipment mark. Each milestone was less a celebration than a mandate: build the infrastructure that lets the next ten thousand businesses ship without fear.

Today Veloship operates more than 1,200 ports and hubs across 190 countries and territories, carrying over 50,000 shipments every month. We are no longer a freight desk — we are a full-stack logistics platform spanning express parcels, ocean and air freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery. Yet the founding frustration still drives us. Every product we ship is measured against a single test: does it make global trade feel effortless for the person using it?

We are privately held and intentionally patient. We reinvest the majority of our operating margin into network density, technology, and the people who keep promises to our customers. We have declined shortcuts that would have grown revenue at the expense of reliability, because a logistics company is only as valuable as the trust its customers place in tomorrow’s delivery.

Our mission

To give every business — from a solo eBay seller to a multinational distributor — a single, transparent command center for global shipping. One account, one rate card, one timeline that updates the instant reality changes.

Our vision

A world where distance is no longer a tax on commerce. Where a maker in Lagos can serve a customer in Lisbon as easily as one across town, and where the carbon cost of every shipment is known, priced, and shrinking.

What we believe

Transparency is a right, not a feature. Every customer deserves to know exactly where their shipment is, what it costs, and when it will arrive. We publish real-time tracking, all-in pricing, and honest service-level guarantees — and we pay when we miss them.

Reliability compounds. A single missed delivery can undo a decade of relationship. We obsess over the unglamorous middle of the journey — the transshipment, the customs stamp, the last-mile handoff — because that is where trust is won or lost.

Small businesses deserve enterprise power. The tools that once required a dedicated logistics team should fit in a browser tab. We design for the 5-person exporter first, then scale up, never the reverse.

Growth must be responsible.Moving more of the world’s goods means accepting responsibility for the world’s air, roads, and ports. Sustainability is engineered into our network design, not bolted on in a press release.

How we operate

Veloship is run as a network, not a hierarchy. Regional hubs own their markets and their service promises, while central engineering owns the platform that connects them. This balance lets us move with the speed of a local operator and the consistency of a global standard. Our operations teams are on rotation across time zones so that a shipment delayed at 3 a.m. in one port is already being rerouted by a colleague starting their morning elsewhere.

We measure ourselves by customer outcomes, not internal activity. The dashboards our executives review are the same ones our customers see: on-time rate, claim rate, and time-to-resolution. When those numbers move, the whole company moves with them.
